How To Team Up Against Cancer…And Possibly WIN Free Pizza For A Year

October is one of my favorite months. The weather gets cooler, the blankets get heavier. And food gets all the more comforting.

As this fall season peaks, there is one color I’d especially like to highlight this month. And for that, I’m teaming up with Hungry Howie’s and the National Breast Cancer Foundation® for all things #LoveHopePizza during Breast Cancer Awareness month! 

Because ya’ll…this is the month to think PINK. And I have always loved Hungry Howie’s encouragement to become a warrior for this cause. Cancer is something that touches us all. And when you realize that 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer the world gets a bit smaller. Especially when just such a diagnosis happens every 3 minutes. And early detection can save lives.

I was barely in my 30’s when I needed my first mammogram. With a suspicious mark on my left breast, I was fortunate to have a doctor take notice. I don’t have a predominate history of breast cancer in my family. But the same can’t be said for my daughter. As years go on I’ll be monitored, and hopefully give her an example to take charge of her own health.

I’ll also eat pizza. And take the time to craft armor from pink boxes with my son. And donate funds for bracelets that my daughter will wear. Because it all counts. And it all is one step towards sharing how important the little things really add up.
