The following #AirSpeedONE sponsored post has been brought to you by Collective Bias. As always my thoughts, opinions, and spiderweb sucking Eureka enthusiasm are my own. Thank you and enjoy!
I really dislike spiders. I know they’re supposed to be fortuitous or good luck even {or so says the arachnid-lover I knew}. But regardless of my love for the number 8…I still really, really hate spiders. So when I bought my last vacuum cleaner, I thought I was being all smart in my quest to clean out the cobwebs. But the joke was on me. And in more ways then one.
Now I know the aspect of a canister vac is a good one. But buying my previous vacuum online {and for way too much money} led to cheap plastic unit with wheels that fell off. It also utilized a cheaper plastic extension wand that, well…ironically, didn’t extend. It was a bagged vacuum as well. So not only did it cost a bundle to buy, but we kept having to spend for its upkeep.
Lesson number 1? Big dollars doesn’t mean big value.
And that isn’t the worst it schooled me in. Sure it was a lightweight vacuum and all. But in order to clean those ceiling corners or do anything further then three feet, you had to hold up the canister! After owning this old vac, I should contact Barnum & Bailey’s Circus with a balancing chair act for them to consider. You should have seen me precariously poised atop random furniture, holding a 10 pound vacuum chest level with its lax wand in the air. All the while as I prayed the spider I’m going after doesn’t jump or fall on me before it meets its vac-doom.
Lesson number 2? I need better reach and more power.
I swore the next vacuum I bought was going to be able to suck that spider off the wall from 6 inches away. And I wanted all those fancy do-dad attachments to stick on the end of the hose so my arm chair act was over. As a Mom, I need a vac with multiple levels to adjust for all my needs. My go-to vac needs to clean the linoleum, random snack spills, and the wall-to-wall carpets that include my dining area. {Don’t even get me started on feeding kids pasta over carpet.} And last but not least, it needs to look snappy.
That said, having finally had enough of bending half-way over my broken down old vacuum, I was ready to buy the next one. On a mission for something to save these rented carpets, the whole family went shopping at Walmart with a specific {upright} vacuum in mind. The Eureka AirSpeed One Turbo!
Okay – so the mention of “turbo” caught my attention first. But the fact that its been proven to clean carpets better then the #1 bagless upright vacuum is what sealed the deal. Engineered with AirSpeed techonology, this vacuum will move more air to remove more dirt for a deeper clean. And speaking of a deal, it was…at only $59.96! And that includes a limited, 2-year Eureka product warranty. Not only that, but you can also utilize Walmart’s additional 2-year warranty plan as well for only $5 more.
It comes with a host of great attachments for me to use, and they’re all stored conveniently on the unit itself. I’ve got my multiple level adjustment for cleaning up everything from dirt to Spaghetti O’s. Toss in the 25 foot cord, its washable filters and bagless features? And we’re talking love at first sight. And how could its 8-foot deluxe stretchy hose is not be awesome? Plus – check out that snazzy, bright color! If that doesn’t make you happy to do housework, nothing will.
So the first order of business when we got home with it, was cracking that box open. I of course, had lots of help to inquire at the parts that stared back at me. It didn’t look too hard to whip together. We laid all pieces out and my Husband had it assembled in five minutes flat. In fact, here’s a quick YouTube video that illustrates more about the vacuum and how to the Eureka AirSpeed One Turbo together.
Once it was all put together, I couldn’t wait to see what I was in for. I set this new, lightweight carpet cleaner to the lowest level and used my foot to trigger the power switch. And when it roared life, was I ever impressed! People, this thing acts like its sucking the dirt up from underneath the floorboards. My poor flattened carpet stood at attention as I swept over it time and again, picking up a monstrosity of unseen icks previously hidden from our old vac.
I can’t believe that for $60 I bought a vacuum that could make my short, beige carpet look as sharp as does the lines on a fresh mowed lawn. With this new upright, my back didn’t ache AND it was so nice that its drive for dirt wanted to pull me along. The AirSpeed technology, multi-surface as well as above-the-floor cleaning abilities are top notch. Plus, I love that its more eco-friendly with the reusable filter and bagless feature.
One attachment feature I really found useful on the Eureka AirSpeed One Turbo vacuum right away? The onboard stair and upholstery brush. Check out that rotating bristle handiness right there! How lucky was I that the kids decided to take their granola snack to eat on the couch? This pulled up all the visible cereal and then I used the crevice nozzle to get in-between the cushions.
I was so happy speeding about with my Eureka AirSpeed One Turbo power that I my daughter couldn’t wait to test it all out too. Her favorite pick for the attachment is the duster brush. She got a kick out of dusting the TV with it. However this is going to come in quite handy for the blinds, baseboards, and window coverings. So just before we packed it up for the day, she wanted to share a picture of it too.
Overall, I am in love with my new lightweight Eureka vacuum. The first time we swept our carpets, I was amazed that I could keep going over and over the same {visually clean} spot. Each time I kept continuously picking up more hidden deep carpet debris. This Eureka AirSpeed One Turbo vac really does mean it when it says its designed for an optimal cleaning power.
And even being an upright, I was really impressed with how the low-profile head gets under my furniture too. As well, the wide 13′ cleaning path ensures I won’t be distracted cleaning for so long that the kids have time to make another mess. But then again, now that I get to clean my house with the Eureka AirSpeed One Turbo, maybe I’ll start encouraging that they eat more granola on the couch after all.

I’ll check back in about 8 months and see if you still feel the same way. Yes, 3 times burned by vacuums and still lookin!! Hope you found a winner.

Please do! I’ve been using it everyday now and man…I’m still in love w/it and its $60 price tag. 😀 My old vac kind of matted the carpet down instead of pulling it vertical w/the suction. So this Eureka is actually bringing my carpet back! So excited to see what a few more weeks and our next carpet cleaning will do now!
