I love shopping at Meijer. Part of that reason is the affordable all-natural and most notably, organic Meijer brand products. I stopped in the other day during a special 2-day sale and saved more then $42 without clipping a single coupon. Well, I did click to save my digital coupons to my Meijer MPerks account. At check-out I simply entered my mobile number to activate my savings as my favorite products were scanned for purchase.

One thing we love, is the Meijer Organic Creamy Peanut Butter. {Meijer also carries affordable organic honey and jelly as well.} Paired together they create our favorite meal-time treat. And while there are days we may need to eat and run. What we really love to sit down to is a grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwich. • 1 tbsp organic peanut butter
  • 1 tsp organic honey
  • Organic Salted Whipped Butter

Directions

  1. Create your peanut butter and jelly sandwich
  2. Mix the organic honey with your organic peanut butter.
  3. Spread peanut butter/honey mixture evenly on one side of one slice of bread.
  4. Spread the organic jelly on one side of the second slice of bread.
  5. Close your PB&J sandwich, pressing the peanut butter and jelly together.
  6. Grilling your peanut butter and jelly sandwich
  7. Now, lightly butter one side of our PB&J and place butter-side down in warmed cooking pan.
  8. Lightly butter the remaining side now facing upwards to you in the pan.
  9. Keep your pan at an even {medium} heat so as to not burn your sandwich.
  10. Flip sandwich until bread has turned golden brown on both sides and the peanut butter and jelly has {or begins} to melt.

Tips

  • I pre-heat my cooking pan on a medium setting as I prep my sandwiches. Of course, you can use more {or less} peanut butter or jelly to preference.

I love how this is such a great take on a classic lunchtime meal. We eat PB&J sandwiches almost everyday for lunch. Everything is better grilled. I tried it as soon as I saw you post and I love it! It might be the butter, but I think the grilled version is much better!

I have never tried this. I would have thought it would be yucky. I guess I can give it a try though
